Faculty Computer Lab

The Faculty Computer Laboratory has been in operation since 2011. Originally named "Laboratory of Computer Applications in Food Technology", it was established within the structure of the Department of Agricultural Technology and Storage of the Faculty of Food Sciences of Wrocław University of Life Sciences. Currently, the laboratory is a faculty unit. It is located on the first floor of the building of the Nutrition and Food Science Center in rooms 128 and 129.

The lab is used for teaching classes in Information Technology and Applied Computer Science.

The lab also provides assistance in:

  • performing statistical calculations using Statistica program
  • digital analysis of images (ordinary as well as microscopic) - calculating areas and dimensions of objects, counting objects, color analysis - using ImageJ program
  • creation of calculation scripts in calculation sheets
  • software development
  • creation of web applications
  • creation and operation of local and network databases
  • creation and administration of departmental websites hosted on the WNOZ server
